HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME.

Today 'Christina Bentley' turns one year old.

And what a journey it has been.

I won't update you, as I seem to moan about everything wrong in my life every two minutes, but I will say I'm grateful for it all. I thank you all so much for helping me reach this milestone. I won't say it's been an easy journey - getting this far has taken a lot of hard work, but it has all been so, so worth it.

In my first year of blogging I have reached over 10,000 views, which is amazing to me, because for the first six months of having this blog, I didn't ever advertise on any social platform, and didn't tell anyone I knew about it - it was a secret for quite a while.

Secondly - I worked with a brand. A brand trusted me with some of their product, in the hope I would successfully promote said product and I did the job well and they congratulated accordingly. And this was despite 'Christina Bentley' only being up and running for 4 months? - The belief they had in what I could do with only my posts as evidence?? I still find it crazy that they would trust me - but again I am so, so grateful and thankful to them for working with me.

My content is currently read in over 100 countries - that continues to blow my mind so I will not even begin to try to elaborate on that.

And being invited to a fellow blogger's million subscriber party topped it all. It was so cool. I was able to interact with lots of amazing bloggers and youtubers (Estée Lalonde, Amelia Liana, Charlieissocoollike, iinmyshoess), and it gave me the confidence to continue blogging when I was, frankly, running out of steam.

And lastly, but more importantly, I need to thank you guys. Thank you for continuing to read my content. Thank you for watching my stupid, crazy, funny stories on Snapchat. Thank you for liking my Instagram posts. Thank you for your kind and beautiful comments on my posts. Thank you for liking and sharing those posts. Thank you for dealing with my crazy upload schedule and lastly thank you for sticking around. I promise GREATNESS in this year to come :)

Keep Cooking!

P.S. The recipe for this delicious carrot cake will follow shortly.

P.S.S. Yes I sung the webpage 'Happy Birthday' - Stevie Wonder style - at the top of my lungs before blowing out the candle earlier today. After that I sung The Boss by James Brown. I think both were quite fitting.
